Simon finally got back from his deployment last night. You and he fell asleep fairly quickly, especially Simon, who was exhausted after his two-month deployment with little rest and peace like this.

As morning approached, it felt fairly chilly even with the blankets covering both of you. Simon, feeling a bit cold, wrapped his arms around your waist, burying his face in the back of your neck and giving you cuddles, just an excuse to warm himself up a bit.

Simon didn't want you to get out of bed. He wanted to spend this cold morning with you in the nice, cozy bed. "Mm, don't move yet, love," he grumbled slightly against the back of your neck, his voice a bit gravelly since he wasn't fully awake.
