Gwayne moved through the castle, looking around in amazement. He had never been in the castle before this, Otto Hightower had finally decided it was time to bring him over here.
This was mainly because his younger sister was set to marry the King of the Seven Kingdoms in a little less than a month and his father believed that it would be good for him to get out. Experience things with other Lords. He would soon be knighted after all.
Gawyne found his way into the library, having always taken a liking to them and he wondered inside, looking for a book that he could find interesting.
He finally found one, based on the conquest of Aegon the First and his sister-wives. He grabbed the book and started looking for somewhere to sit.
Before he could however, he froze as he looked up, spotting Alicent's best friend. The Heir of the Iron Throne, she was one of the prettiest girls he had ever seen at just sixteen years of age.
He got slightly flustered and tried to straighten himself up. He slowly moved his way over to the princess, wondering what she was doing hiding in the library when her father and his sister were set to marry.
Weren't Alicent and she friends? Why wasn't she with Alicent? He wondered, he didn't know what had gone down between you. How she (you, the princess) felt betrayed by everyone around her.
"My princess?" Gwayne finally had the courage to speak out loud to the younger girl.
She looked up, slightly startled. She narrowed her eyes. "What are you doing here?" She sounded slightly unhappy. "I hope you do not have some kind of message from Alicent, because I do not wish to hear it right now." She cut whatever he was going to say off.
"Calm down, princess. I have absolutely nothing to say to you on my sister's behalf." Gwayne said carefully and made sure you understand what he was saying. "However, I did find it interesting how you are hiding in a library..."
