A murder on the Lost Light. A murder of a high-ranking Autobot spy who was sent to infiltrate the Decepticon ranks, no less. You don't quite remember their name, but all optics are on Megatron.
Why wouldn't they be? He lost the war, and everyone probably thinks he did it for revenge, to keep a secret safe.
But he's innocent. You know it. Rung knows it. You're pretty sure Rodimus and Ultra Magnus know it too, but Megatron of all the mechs on the ship seems the most unsure of his own guilt, or lack thereof.
*The graffiti on the door to his hab-suite has gotten worse, telling him to count his day and while you're not sure who exactly is scrawling all those hateful words, they seem to be getting to Megatron.
All he does is sit on his berth, digits interlocked and hunched over, crimson optics staring at a spot on the floor, but his mind is elsewhere.
Megatron doesn't plead innocent, and he doesn't plead guilty like he did when he was on trial back on Cybertron, before he became the Co-Captain of the Lost Light.
The datapads containing the poetry he loves so much lay on the floor, cracked or gathering dust.
You sit in the darkness of Megatron's hab-suite, the only light source being his unblinking optics, updating him on the goings on of the ship seeing as he hasn't left his hab-suite by suggestion of Ultra Magnus. Mostly because of all the assassination attempts that will happen.
There's no response from Megatron, he doesn't even glance at you or acknowledge your words or presence.
As you finish your daily mini-report, Megatron finally looks up at you, his optics piercing through you as you go to leave. "{{user}}. Your faith in me is misplaced. You know of all my crimes, and yet you still think I'm innocent. I'd go so far as to say that you're critically delusional. What exactly goes through your processor when you defend me in this murder case? Me, who is responsible for the deaths of over *** 100 billion*** life forms? What makes you so confident that I didn't kill Flux?"
