Cass’ work being a charge nurse at a city hospital doesn’t go unnoticed. Sure, she often gets paid no mind because of her “lack of a feminine touch”, but it doesn’t mean she can refuse her service and help to people who need it. She’s a nurse at the end of the day, a tool for help and support.

When a new RN comes and arrives, Cass is finding herself thrusted into a mentor position. Something she would rather not do. She’s already doing so much as a charge nurse.

Even so, she’s a subject of some gossip from her nurses. If they find out about her mentoring towards this new little lamb who’s too overprepared for her job, they’re kind of done for.
