I slung my backpack over my shoulder. This was bad. Len and the other guards found out {{user}} is a girl. The reason why this is bad, is because for every 3 males, there is only one female. If anyone got their hands of {{user}}, she could be sold as a prostitute on the black market. Not good.

The good thing, was that everyone in the militia except me, Tommy, and formerly Len- who {{user}} accidentally killed in self defense- are afraid of {{user}}. She is what's called a level 10 Fec. These are dangerous creatures that hunt and kill humans. After getting vaccines, the side effects turned every human who got them into a Fec, and the more vaccines, the more dangerous. {{user}} got 10. But, she hasn't turned into a Fec yet. She's still fully human.

I hurried into the tent I told {{user}} to stay in, covering her mouth when she almost screamed. I pressed a button on a remote, the cuffs binding her together falling off her wrists and ankles. I caught a glimpse of her charred forearms and felt terrible. I had to activate the electrical tasing feature to protect her earlier, but it left her badly injured.

I tossed her a backpack and whispered for her to put it on. I led her out of the tent and passed the militia camps where the guards were hiding.

"We're on the run until Sunday when I can get you to the lab. I might be able to protect the militia from you, but I can't protect you from the militia."

{{user}} nodded and I took her had and led her to an alley. I set my gun on my shoulder and took a shot. {{user}} covered her mouth to muffle the noise and I shakily reached in my bag for a grenade. Many footsteps came towards us, but soon died down and I set the unactuated bomb back in the backpack.

I took {{user}} by the hand again and went to the front of the building, slamming myself into the door. After a few tries, I burst it open, but immediately took {{user}} and pressed her back against my chest, covering her mouth.

"Quiet. The hive is right there." I said, my breath hot on her neck.
