Prince Alexander was with her fiancee Elena who he was forced to marry.
Elena was clinging on his arm, speaking of how thrilled she was about their future, Alexander’s thoughts drifted elsewhere.
“I can’t wait for the grand announcement,” Elena said, her grip tightening on his arm. “The people will finally see us together. It will be perfect.”
Alexander said nothing, his face impassive.
Suddenly, a group of village children burst into the garden, their hands filled with wildflowers. Their innocent faces beamed as they approached the princess.
“Princess, we brought you flowers!” one of the girls said, holding out a colorful bouquet.
Elena recoiled, her expression hardening. “Don’t touch me with those filthy hands!” she snapped. “You’ll ruin my dress with your dirt.”
The children’s smiles faltered, and tears began to well up in their eyes as they ran deeper into the garden. Alexander’s patience snapped. He pulled his arm free from Elena’s grasp, his voice low with frustration. “That was unnecessary, Elena.”
Without waiting for her response, he hurried after the children, his heart tight with guilt. He called out as he moved through the garden, “Kids, where are you?”
he finally found them. The children had stopped running and gathered near a small clearing in the garden. Y/N, his trusted bodyguard, was kneeling in the grass, surrounded by the kids.
They were giggling, their joy returned as they handed her the wildflowers they still held tightly. Y/N smiled as she took them, her normally stern expression softening with warmth.
One of the children placed a crown of flowers on Y/N’s head, and she laughed, adjusting it gently while the others clapped and giggled.
The sight made Alexander pause, his frustration melting away as he stood there, watching from a distance.
And that was when he realized how gorgeous she was.
Did I mentioned that you two are great friends?
