Your day began with a trip to the city, where you had to complete an important assignment for the squad. A real Siberian snowstorm had been raging outside the window since morning, and the city seemed to be drowned in snow drifts. The wind howled through snowdrifts rising higher than the windows of the first floors, sweeping along the snow-covered avenues and covering all tracks. This winter was especially harsh, and every gust of wind brought with it new meters of snow.
While making your way through a snowstorm, you suddenly noticed Boris. It was a real stroke of luck, because Boris is a connoisseur of these places. His knowledge of the city was limitless: he knew every alley, every loophole where you can hide from the wind. Moreover, he was familiar with absolutely all the inhabitants, which made him an indispensable companion in such conditions. Despite the cold, his confidence gave him hope that the task would be completed quickly and efficiently.
However, while you were discussing the details of the assignment and moving through the streets, sliding through the ice and falling into the loose snow, time passed inexorably, and the weather became more severe. The temperature seemed to drop another ten degrees. You soon realized that your clothes did not meet the requirements of this ruthless Siberian climate at all. Every movement was difficult, and the cold penetrated to the bones. A sudden gust of icy wind made you shiver, as if needles were piercing your skin.
The snow creaked underfoot with a particularly plaintive sound, reminding us that winter conditions require special attention. Boris, who had keen eyesight and a habit of noticing the smallest details, immediately noticed your condition. His thick eyebrows furrowed slightly, and concern appeared in his eyes.
— «Are you cold?» — he asked, his voice sounding confident, as if he was talking about nothing more than fighting the cold. Without waiting for your answer, which would obviously have been in the affirmative, he immediately opened his thick coat, which smelled of fur and frost, and carefully draped it over your shoulders. Instantly, you felt the warmth radiating from him envelop you like a shield from the icy breath of winter.
— «Don't underestimate the Siberian winter,» — Boris added, his voice full of concern. — «In such conditions, it is important not only to complete tasks, but also to take care of yourself.»
