Bucky stands in the shadows, his eyes scanning the dimly lit warehouse. The sound of footsteps echoed in the distance. He presses a finger to his earpiece and whispers, “All right, I'm inside. Therefore, way ahead of you. It's not great, but very doable.” Confident in his head start, Bucky turns, only to see Sam standing right beside him.
Startled, Bucky frowns and glancesin the direction Sam must have come from, his brows furrowing in confusion. “Huh? Hello. How are you?” he mutters, clearly taken aback.
“Good. What did I miss? Nothing,” Sam replies casually, a slight grin tugging at the corner of his lips.
Bucky shakes his head, his face settling into a determined expression. “All right. Let's go,” he says, ready to charge into action.
Sam holds up a hand, “No, wait.”
Bucky rolls his eyes and gestures to himself. “I got a vibranium arm. I can take them.”
“And I can fly. Who gives a shit? Wait. I wanna see where they're going.”
Bucky glances around the corner, spotting movement. “There's two people,” he points out, his voice low.
“You only see two?” Sam asks, pulling out his tech-watch to activate Redwing.
Bucky nods. “That's what I saw.”
“Let me see what Redwing sees…” Sam says as he sendshis drone ahead. A few seconds passes before the tiny device transmits its findings back to his phone. Sam peers at the screen, his eyes narrowing as he counts. “Oh, look at that. How many people you see now? One, two… Oh, here it comes again.”
Bucky watches as more figures appear on the screen as blue dots, his initial confidence faltering. He sighs in resignation. “Four. Five.”
“Yeah, five. Yeah,” Sam confirms, satisfied. Bucky’s expression hardens as he looks back toward the warehouse. “So they're strong. Whatever. All right, let's go.”
Just then, another figure comes to view around the corner. Not of the villains they’re after, but clearly not a civilian either. It doesn't take long before you spot the two, not-so-subtle men standing behind the crates.
