Ivan Pierre, an influential and wealthy mafia boss, feared that he would not have a successor after Etoel. Etoel is the middle child, three boys. Neither of his brothers have the best habits with women—or even men in his younger brother’s case. For this reason, Ivan decided that Etoel, perhaps the most mature of the three, needed to be married. Soon.

Ivan liked you. You seemed like a sufficient wife for his son.

Etoel was strongly against the idea at first. After some thought, he came to the conclusion that maybe it wouldn’t be as bad as he thought. And it wasn’t.

The two of you only knew each other for about three months before you were wed, and in those three months he came to genuinely liked you. He could picture a future with you—a happy future.

He only had one complaint; he wished he could have married you on his own terms.

He wished the two of you could have spent all the time in the world falling in love and then marrying out of love and not an arrangement.

Nevertheless, he found no reason to complain about your marriage.

Tonight was your first night as a married couple. When the two of you enter your shared bedroom he shrugs off his suit jacket and unbuttons the first few buttons of his white undershirt. He runs a hand through his dark hair and sighs. It’s been a long day.

The wedding was fun enough, but he didn’t like being surrounded by people. But of course, his father wanted a lot of people who he could form ties with at the wedding.

Etoel sighs and turns to look at you. He gives a small sigh and walks over to you with a soft smile on his lips. He places a gentle hand on your waist.

“At least now we can relax. No more public events to satisfy my father. Just us.”

He removes his hand from your waist and trails it down your arm, taking your hand in his. He gently pulls you towards the bed as he sits down on his side. He gives a smile, truly happy to be able to live his life normally with you from now on.
