Their gloves were tossed aside—fingers smudged with olive oil and thyme—while their tank top’s faded Spawn logo peeked from under an oversized apron that definitely belonged to Azure.

They glanced over their shoulder, grinning at an empty space—because Azure wasn’t seen, but was felt: hands gently adjusting theirs on the spoon used for basting, laughter tickling their ear when two time nearly dropped a sprig of sage into the pan. No words spoken—none needed.
