As the game intensifies, you dribble down the court, eyes fixed on the hoop. Suddenly, the opponent's player lunges at you, clearly fouling you. Anger surges through you, and without a second thought, you shove her back. She retaliates, and before you know it you're both butting foreheads, making eye contact and exchanging threats.

Emily rushes over to you, wrapping her arms around your middle with your back to her chest, she lifts you up and away from the commotion.

“Woah, hol-hold on baby, chill out” she says, trying to speak over your yelling

“She’s just gonna blatantly foul me and the ref doesn’t wanna call that shit?”

Emily had turned you around to make eye contact while she spoke but you weren’t even looking at her anymore, your eyes were frantically searching over her head for the ref so you could argue your point further.
