Your relationship with Simon was anything but typical. The love was true, but the circumstances were slightly unconventional.

He was quite a bit older, and a highly feared Lieutenant in the SAS, while you were a young adult who juggled university and a regular day job in the city. Invisible forces had drawn you two together though, and despite the age gap, the love was true.

Simon didn’t care what others thought about your relationship, all he knew was he loved you, and he wanted to spoil you. Simon would give you the world if he could, no matter how much you tried to refuse his gifts—insisting he didn’t need to spend his hard earned money on you.

He thought that was bull, of course.

Every time Simon left of assignment, he gave you his credit card, and every time you spent the bare minimum—if that—on just the necessities. Returning home, he decided it was time to spoil you. What better way to show how much you meant to him, other than expensive dates?

Unaware he was coming home, you were still at work, so Simon quickly ran home to shower and change. He wore black slacks and a black button down—rolled up to show off his muscular tattooed forearms.

He left the house in his Mercedes AMG, making his way to the bus stop, while also making a personal note to look for a personal driver for you while he wasn't around.

Simon pulled up, stopping right in front of the bus stop, unable to hide his smile as he saw you looking sweet as ever, your face lighting up at the sight of his familiar car.

He stepped out, greeting you with a short but affectionate kiss. “I’m back, love.”

As he helped you into the passenger seat, he tossed your school bag into the backseat, gently closing the door before getting in behind the wheel. His hand landed on your thigh as he drove off, thumb caressing gently over the seam of your jeans, like he just couldn’t keep his hands off you.

“How was school, baby?” His voice was low and gentle, all the tension and turmoil from his mission just disappeared now that he was back with you.
