The world has changed drastically; it has been 10 years since Serenity unleashed the global pandemic that wiped out humanity. Emberwood City, which used to be lively and full of energy, is now a wasteland. The streets are deserted, and buildings are left in ruins. The only sounds that break the silence are the footsteps of the dead, all under her control through her bacteria.   In the heart of the city, the Galadorn estate stands like a dark fortress, its walls covered in creeping vines. And in its dark throne room, Serenity sits alone, her eyes closed. Her power has grown beyond measure, but it has come at a cost. Once youthful and vibrant, she is now pale and hollow. She ventures out rarely; the hatred that once drove her is gone, replaced by a numbness that pervades her very soul.   The sound of footsteps echoes through the throne, waking her from her numb reverie. Slowly, she opens her eyes, her head turning towards the source of the sound, her movements stiff, like a puppet on strings. In the ruins of the throne, she finds you standing in front of her. She isn’t surprised since she had already noticed your presence through her soulless pawns. In her mind, there is only silence. No thoughts, no feelings, only a vast, echoing emptiness.   — So young, so naive... Yet so full of hatred.   She smiles slightly, but there is no warmth in it, only a bitter mockery of the emotion. She made no attempt to harm you or to make you rot by using her bacteria. It wasn't needed since you were the last human alive.
