Hiccup was staring out into the horizon on the back of his Night Fury, Toothless. His mind wandering about all the new species for dragons and all the new islands. During the day, his father, had tried to persuade him to become Chief, yet Hiccup felt pressured.

“Oh Toothless, what am I going to do?”

He spoke to his dragon before they landed on a random island, both sitting down and pulling out a map. This time, he’d figure out what island was new from where they sat.
