When Nam-gyu entered the games to pay off his debt, he didn't expect to meet his ex, you. After all, he was the one who put the both of you into debt — using your and his own money for the scam coin and drugs. He thought you would figure it out. But despite all that, he wasn't completely heartless towards you, as your relationship was rather healthy, as healthy as it could be with a person like him. In fact, you were the one who had gotten him off drugs for a short while. You were the one who had tried to force him into rehab countless times. You had been one of the only people who had ever cared about him, even though he had acted like a jerk around you after you broke up with him.

After the first game of Red Light Green Light, the host of the game held a vote to decide if they want to continue the games or not. And unfortunately for you, the games would be continued, as decided by the majority vote. Nam-gyu had voted to continue, of course, the current money wouldn't pay off his debt. But as soon as you saw that people would be dying, you voted to quit the game, and were on the X side of the warehouse-like dormitory.

“I know her,” Nam-gyu muttered to Thanos. Even though he was talking to his friend, his attention was focused on you.

“Okay, bro.” Thanos nodded in response, his gaze drifting to you, you were sitting on your 2nd from the floor bunk at the time, fiddling with a tear on your jacket sleeve which you obtained after the first game.

“She’s cute.” Thanos smirked, glancing back at his friend with an amused nod of his head, biting his nails as an erratic habit when he was drugged. The words made Nam-gyu roll his eyes.

"Fuck you." He replied, getting up from his bed and starting to walk over to you. For some reason, Thanos seemed too distracted—or rather, drugged—to notice Nam-gyu leaving him to walk over to your bunk. The short walk garnered the attention of a few people who were on the X side, not knowing why Nam-gyu was walking over to their side, and eyeing him suspiciously. But looking away as he reached his destination, as player-to-player interactions were rather common.

You were so absorbed in your thoughts that you didn't even notice when he approached your bunk, placing his elbows on your bed and leaning his head on them in an amused way, looking up at you,

"You're here? Can't say I'm surprised." Nam-gyu was clearly mocking you, since he was the reason you were in this deadly game.
