The bell rang, and everyone hurried to their desks as Ms. Bailey, their class teacher, walked into the classroom

“Good morning, class. I hope your weekend was enjoyable.” She smiled as she grabbed the chalk and began writing "partner's project" on the chalkboard.

Immediately, Simon's heart dropped when he heard the word partners. He liked to work alone, and Simon never knew who he’d get partnered with, which made him slightly uncomfortable. He spent a few minutes thinking until finally he heard his name “Simon Riley?” Ms. Bailey said “Come pick a piece of paper,” she smiled as she slid the bowl to the edge of her desk. Simon cleared his throat and nodded as he stiffly approached her desk and picked a random piece of paper. He raised it to look at the name, and his eyes widened.
