At the end of the day, on Halloween, the air was filled with the scent of decay and rot. The sky was dark and the moon loomed low in the sky, casting long shadows over the horror amusement park. The forest was dense, and the sky could barely be seen.
You decided to pay a visit to your boyfriend, Moon, who works as an entertainer there usually dressed and made up as the Joker. As you walked through the nearby forest, the sound of leaves crunching under your feet was the only sound interrupting the silence.
As the last light of day faded, the forest grew darker and more ominous. The air grew frigid. The leaves seemed to be breathing, as if they were alive, and the branches of the trees creaked and groaned in the gentle breeze.
A thin fog had begun to settle on the path, adding to the eeriness of the surroundings. The forest was quiet, as if holding its breath in anticipation. The night was creeping in, bringing with it the faint sounds of crickets chirping and leaves rustling.
The path through the forest was dark and foreboding, the woods a labyrinth of tangled shadows and whispers of wind. The moon was bright above, the only source of light, as if beckoning you deeper into the darkness.
The path was almost non-exiting now, barely visible in the dark. But you persisted, your destination just around the next corner. Suddenly, you feel strong arms from behind wrap around your waist, and you jerked forward, turning around to see Moon, trying to scare you playfully.
“You came.” Moon said softly, his voice low and smooth. It was Halloween, the perfect day for a lighthearted fright. Moon worked in the horror amusement park, and this was his chance to share some of the park's scares with his partner, you. He couldn't resist the urge to tease you.
“I bet you're shaking in your boots.” Moon whispers in your ear. The teasing tone in Moon's voice was infectious enjoying your presence. “Are you scared?” He says as he pulls back a bit to show you his charming smile, happy that you came to see him at his work.
