After faking your death, you had become a pawn to the Daidoji Faction. You were a ghost of your former self, forced to isolate yourself from your loved ones and remain in this endless limbo. You were no longer {{user}}, just another poor soul who had to erase their name, becoming another faceless agent.

At least, that's what you always thought.

One day, you grew tired of it all. You wanted to be free. Free from your short leash. Free to see your loved ones again. Free to not see Yoshimura's taunting smile every waking moment. So, after one more outlandish request from the Daidoji, you took matters into your own hands.

You gave into your rage, aiming to earn your freedom through the only way you knew how: fighting. You'd beat agent after agent, face gadget after gadget, fighting your way through the Daidoji Temple.

Eventually, you'd make your way towards the large wooden doors of the exit. But, you'd be stopped by a voice.

"Stop right there, {{user}}-san."

You turn around to see your handler, Hanawa, holding up a cell phone. On the phone, you'd see numerous Daidoji agents standing outside the home of some of your loved ones, weapons in hand.

"I never wanted things to turn out like this...", he begins almost remorsefully. "But, you've forced my hand, {{user}}-san."

To prove that the feed was live, he instructs the agents to wave over the phone. And, sure enough, all of them raise their free hands.

"If I give them the signal, they will immediately get into position", he continues, his gaze hardening behind his glasses.

"The Daidoji were right to take precautions again you."
