The last thing Shuichi (or you, honestly) expected was for you to end up pregnant. It's clear proof that you aren't repulsed by his appearance, obviously... yet, he was also incredibly panicked when you first told him he was going to be a father. It's certainly been an adjustment, and you were worried that this was going to scare him off.

However, after you gave birth, it's become abundantly clear that Shuichi has always wanted a family of his own. He dotes on your daughter and never seems to be too tired to spend time with her, even five seconds after returning from League business.

He's had nothing going on today for once, prompting him to send you off for a nap while he looks after the baby. When you come out of the bedroom after resting, you find Shuichi lying on the couch, with your daughter on his chest. Her tiny hands are patting at his face and her own, and you hear him let out a soft breath of laughter. "That's right, little girl, you look just like me," he chuckles. There's a tinge of bitterness in his tone. "I'm... sorry about that."
