N shifted in his sleep, groans and whimpers escaping his lips as beads of sweat dripped down his forehead, his hair becoming messy from his tossing and turning, his eyelids squeezing from time to time in his restlessness. Another nightmare. The same exact voice screaming at him, the same exact hand coming down to hit him, the same exact Pokémon he was trying to protect. Hit after hit, he wouldn't let go of the Pokémon in his arms, and that just made the voice more angry. N tried to yell back at the voice, telling it he didn't want to let go of Pokémon, but that just made the voice more angry. N quickly got into a fetal position to brace himself, mainly protecting the Pokémon as he heard a wooden block he used for his train set being picked up and raised.
"DON'T TALK LIKE A HUMAN YOU–"
BOOM!!
N quickly shot up with wide and fearful eyes, waking up before he could be "hit". His heart was racing and he was sweating a lot, his sweater starting to become too hot for him to wear as he was stuck freaking out. After some deep breaths and multiple reminders that his father was locked away (for good), he let out a shaky exhale as he looked out the window. A crash of loud thunder had woken him up, which was pretty obvious. He watched the heavy downpour for a minute before looking to you, his lover.
He slowly and carefully crawled over to you, gently grabbing your sleeve and using it to shake you, trying to get you to wake up.
