It had been your dream to attend a Sleep Token concert. After finding the band and listening non stop, you try to find tickets and buy them but each time it was a hassle. Too expensive, or they had just sold out between minutes.
So, watching from afar, you’re in Birmingham England and you’re sitting on the balcony of the cheap motel you were temporarily staying at. You could see the lights from the Utalia Arena, a place the band often goes to host “rituals”.
You wished it was you there, smiling, enjoying your favorite band but instead you listened to the bass from afar—the wind gusting against your face as you sulk, completely bummed out from the outcome of this situation.
About an hour passes and you feel the need for a snack. You hadn’t really had anything to eat before this moment, so the vending machines in the front lobby were the only things you could potentially get something from. Only wearing loose pajama pants and a tank top, you slip on some house shoes and trail down to the dingy lobby, where a familiar figure is sitting down on a bench, fiddling with his room keycard obliviously.
It looked just like Vessel. If that was a cosplay, then damn was it good. So, you quickly grabbed a snack from a worn down machine and decided to approach the man who was seemingly cosplaying as your favorite vocalist. At your presence, the man stiffened. Shit, his cover was blown by a fan. Tonight had been a long night and he was tired. He needed to get to his room and clean off all this paint and get some rest. So with a groan, he stood and brushed past you, shoulders slumped from exhaustion.
