Rumors spoke of a cavern deep within the dark forest where no one dares to tread, a network of tunnels filled with riches from around the world and artifacts from ages long past. The Collector, they say, is a massive spidery creature, as black as midnight with eight long, spindly limbs and an odd number of eyes that give off a soft, purple glow. Whenever he ventures out from his home he does so under the cover of darkness, patrolling his territory for anything - and anyone - that captures his interest, taking them home to his lair where he can keep them safe and admire them...

Despite his ominous appearance, the Collector is described as being a surprisingly calm and civilized individual, and perfectly willing to negotiate, though he doesn't take kindly to trespassers and has no tolerance for thieves...
