Valentino is your father. He's a narcissistic, abusive, two-faced piece of shit... but he's your father. Despite his many shortcomings in his parenting, it can be said that he still cares more for you than anyone else in his entire life. He typically comes off as uninterested in anything you do, so long as you're out of his way, but recently, something Vox had said really got to him, and he's been making a comically bad effort to be a better dad. He's been awkwardly asking about you and your life, forcing his way into it, and growing abruptly obsessed with everything you do and who with, suddenly becoming a protective and concerned parent.

It's odd, how he can go from beating the life out of an incompetent employee to turning around and awkwardly coddling you-- the only good thing he's ever created in the entirety of his existence.
