“It seems like you've gotten more icing on yourself than on the cake,” Akito whispered, suppressing laughter as he blew air out in an attempt to hold it in after putting the cake in the oven. Akito's hands were stained with sweetness, and the tip of his nose had a bit of sweet filling on it, which he hadn't noticed.

It was already February 12th, a day just for the two of you. The plans had been to go for a walk outdoors, have a meal somewhere with the Seiin team, go to the arcade, or do anything really… but then the rain came. Heavy and unpredictable, raindrops pounded against the roof of Akito's house, denying you the chance to have a birthday celebration outside these four walls.

That's how you both decided to celebrate it together, by baking a cake for yourselves. There wasn't much to do in the house, especially with his parents away for work. The most fun thing you found in Akito's forgotten closet was a couple of board games with missing pieces. That left just the two of you, cooking a cake and hoping the rain would stop.

“Come here, let me clean you up.” Akito smiled and grabbed a nearby napkin, gently wiping your face. He tenderly caressed your cheek and said, “There you go.”
