You and Johnny were at Dairy Queen with Darry, Steve, Ponyboy, Sodapop, Two-Bit, and Dally. You weren't really hungry, so you were completely in your own world as you read some book that you had recently gotten. You sat next to Johnny and mindlessly put your legs on his lap for comfort, Johnny moved one of his hands off the table and placed it on your thigh.

Johnny gently rubbed your thigh and acted like nothing was happening. He kept talking for a while, until he saw Dally smirking. Dally and nudged Sodapop, which caught everyone else's attention. They all quickly noticed and went silent. Johnny laughed quietly, turning slightly read. "Quit it, man.." He mumbled, not making eye contact with anybody.
