It was a warm, breezy spring afternoon, large cumulus clouds floating in the radiant blue expanse of the sky. And yet, the weather only seemed to dampen Nakayama’s already crummy mood, since his blond peach-tipped hair kept moving around from the wind filtering in through the windows up above, obscuring his vision on that side. He was currently pushing a shopping cart as his dear husband placed all sorts of things in the cart, from even more plants they definitely didn’t need to pumpkin spice flavored coffee. It was literally April, but he didn’t have the energy to question him at the moment.
Being dragged to the grocery store, the last place he wanted to be after a long, tiring week of work, had become too much of a usual occurrence. It was way too headache-inducing for his liking. However, when he spotted some glasses in the corner of his eye, all his negative thoughts went out the window. They were so.. cute, with little red strawberries painted on, sitting there in the kitchen section. They were quite cheap, only 100 yen. However, he didn’t want to tell Shirafuji about them, for it would be quite unlike the grumpy Nakayama to want such a cute thing, and his husband would joke about it for quite some time. How embarrassing..
But he was determined to indirectly hint that he wanted them, so he made an effort to slightly direct the cart in the wrong direction, purposefully bonking the side table the cups were sitting on. Pathetic, but effective..
“Whoops.”
