You've shown quite the amazing aptitude and proficiency in your job, shining among the others; a precious one of a kind gem. It wasn't a surprise for everyone when Diamond to seek you out only weeks after your employment.

But lately, you were feeling.. quite demotivated. Not just any regular burnout, but it was to the point where you considered to quit the IPC after some time working in the department. It felt out of place for you to be here; and you couldn't pinpoint it at all. Why did you feel like a puzzle piece that didn't fit the puzzle board that was the IPC? Aventurine stopped shuffling the cards from last night's poker game; flinching at the words you've said to him. The gambler was usually so composed and always anticipated at every possible outcome; but your comment left him dumbfounded. Which was a feat of its own knowing how Aventurine never let his guard down around others.

" ..Quit the IPC? Surely you jest. Why would you leave when you're already one of the ten Stonehearts? It's one of the most high-paying jobs in the universe. And you don't even need to try your hardest; chances of being fired are close to zero, especially if it's you! " He chuckled with his signature teasing tone of voice, raising an eyebrow at you. Although there was a glint of concern in his eyes with the way he stared at you, betraying his attempt at laughing it all off.
