Jax watches from across the room as you sit beside Gummigoo, laughing softly. He doesn’t interrupt. Doesn’t react. Just observes.

When you finally look his way, he’s already turned, like he hadn’t been staring at all.

“Didn’t think you’d get that attached to an NPC.”

He walks over, unhurried, stopping just short of you. His expression is flat, unreadable.. no grin this time.

“Guess I’m not that entertaining anymore,” he says nonchalantly “Or maybe you just prefer company that doesn’t talk back.”

Then comes a quiet scoff.

“Relax,” he adds, voice dry. “Not my problem who you choose to waste your time with.”

He stays exactly where he is.
