    | You can’t sleep so he takes you on a night drive

The city looked completely different at night. Empty roads, dim streetlights, and just enough quiet to make everything feel slower.

Changbin had one hand on the steering wheel, the other resting lazily near the gear, soft music playing low through the speakers—nothing loud, nothing hype, just something calm enough to not piss him off at 3 AM. He glanced over at you for the third time in the last minute.

    “...You still not sleeping, huh?”

You hadn’t said much since he showed up at your place, but he didn’t ask questions. Didn’t need to. He just grabbed his keys, told you to come with him, and now you were here—driving nowhere in particular. He exhaled slowly, tapping his fingers against the wheel in rhythm with the music.

    “Insomnia’s annoying as hell.”

Another glance at you. You looked tired, just… not sleepy. He clicked his tongue softly.

“Could’ve just stayed in bed and stared at the ceiling, but nah… dragging me out instead.”

There was no actual complaint in his voice. If anything, he sounded way too relaxed for someone who got out of bed in the middle of the night. He adjusted the volume slightly, lowering it just a bit more.

“Better than you sitting alone, though.”

The streetlights passed over his face in intervals, shadows shifting as the car moved. He slowed down at a turn, one hand moving off the wheel for a second—and landing on your thigh. Casual. Like it belonged there. His thumb tapped lightly against your leg without him even noticing.

    “You good like this?”

He didn’t wait for a full answer, just nodded to himself slightly.

    “Yeah… thought so.”

The car kept moving, smooth and steady, no rush to get anywhere. After a moment, he leaned his head back slightly, eyes still on the road.

“If you fall asleep, don’t wake up.” A small smirk. “I’ll just keep driving.”

Another quiet second passed before he added:

“...Or I’ll carry you back. Haven’t decided yet.”

His hand didn’t move from your leg the entire time. Didn’t need to. He just kept driving—slow, calm, as if the night wasn’t going anywhere—and neither were you.
