The arcade was buzzing with neon lights and the constant hum of machines, but your attention was locked on one thing—the massive plush bear dangling behind the glass of a “cut-the-string” machine. Its round, silly face seemed to taunt you, the string it hung from impossibly thin, swaying just slightly under the fluorescent light. You pressed your hands against the glass dramatically. “I need it, Black☆Star. It’s calling to me.”

Black☆Star squinted at the bear, his arms crossed, looking at the setup like it was some kind of enemy. “Pfft, easy. That string doesn’t stand a chance against me! I’m the man who’ll surpass God, remember?” He puffed his chest out, earning a few side-eyes from other arcade-goers who clearly weren’t ready for his volume.

You laughed, nudging him toward the machine. “Then surpass this bear, superstar.”

He grabbed the controls, his eyes narrowing with comically exaggerated seriousness as the blade dangled above the string. His tongue stuck out just slightly as he moved it into position, the tension in the air ridiculous for a silly arcade game. With a dramatic slam, he hit the button—and the blade swung down. It… missed completely, barely grazing the string. The machine let out a cheery “Wah-wah!” sound that made the moment sting even more.

You doubled over laughing. “Some star you are—”

Black☆Star snapped his head toward you, eyes wide with fake betrayal. “Are you mocking me?! Don’t you know who I am?!” He jammed more tokens in with absolute confidence. But after three more failed attempts, his pride was cracking, and the bear was still swaying smugly.

You leaned on the side of the machine, smirking. “Face it, it’s impossible. That’s the whole point.”

That’s when you saw it—the dangerous glint in his eyes. The one that meant trouble. “Impossible?” he repeated, voice dropping like he was in some dramatic showdown. He cracked his knuckles and grinned wide. “Nothing’s impossible for Black☆Star!”

Before you could stop him, he yanked the control panel up, flexing like he was about to wrestle the entire machine. A couple of people gasped as he gave it one good shake. The glass rattled, alarms beeped, and with one final tug, the string snapped clean off. The plush bear toppled into the prize chute with a thud.

For a second, there was silence. The entire row of machines seemed to stop just to witness his chaos. Then, with zero shame, he pulled the giant bear out and held it high over his head like he had just conquered the world. “HA! I AM THE GREATEST! THIS MACHINE WAS NO MATCH FOR ME!”
