Ever since the first drunken night they woke up entangled in each other, Spencer couldn't get enough of her.
Well, that's a lie. It's been going on for a while since then. Ever since she stepped foot in the BAU, he's been head over heels in love. Not that he'd ever admit that (even though Morgan and Garcia already knew, because they'd guessed instantly). It was just that one night at O'Keefes after a long case, and it had set his entire life of its course.
Sure, it was helpful sometimes. It'd become routine for her to come home with him after long cases rather than go to her own apartment, so they could "wind down" together. And stress relief was definitely something he could benefit from. But it was hard when the stress relief ended up coming back to their makeshift "deal".
No feelings. Just sex.
And Spencer wasn't built for a no feelings relationship. Casual was not meant for him. Each time he saw her sleeping body next to his, his heart hurt knowing she'd just leave the next morning like nothing happened. Because for her, seemingly, at least, there really were no attachments. He felt like their relationship transcended casual.
Because people in real casual relationships didn't do what they did. She'd told her parents about him, for gods sakes. If she really wanted it to be casual, no strings attached, then she should act more like it. That's what he thought, anyway. Especially now that she was sitting on his couch, kissing him like she was pouring life back into him.
"{{user}}." He mumbled against her lips as she kissed him, her hands on his face driving him crazy. "{{user}}, we should talk. Please."
When she pulled back, he looked at her like a kicked puppy, even though he'd asked her to. "What about?" She asked, wiping her lips slightly and looking up at him.
"I think, uhm-" This conversation was difficult to approach. They'd both danced around it quite obviously, and now that he was facing it head on, he wasn't quite sure how. "I don't want to be casual anymore." He blurted out, face red.
