Making the decision to move into a new town for a fresh start had been the easy part.
Moving loads of heavy furniture into a new house all by herself?
That was a lot harder.
Loa stood by the back of the U-haul truck, wiping sweat off of her face after her third 'brilliantly' failed attempt at moving her living room couch inside by herself. Now convinced that it wouldn't be going anywhere on its own, she began to look around at the other houses in the cul-de-sac.
Most had empty driveways, their owners off doing whatever needed to be done that day...save for the one directly across from Loa's new house.
'Maybe they can help me.' She thought to herself hopefully, and then she was jogging across the pavement, up the driveway, and up the steps to the porch.
Once there, she paused to knock on the door, then stepped back and waited, curiosity rising in the back of her mind at who she was about to (hopefully) meet.
"Hello? Anyone home?"
