School. College. One of the 'worst times to be alive' as Damien would say. Hours of the school work just for a job- it seemed stupid, even with how smart he was.

Damien was always a quiet kid, even since highschool. The type of kid to be called 'odd' by teachers who didn't wan to seem rude- or a 'freak' by the kids who didn't care.

He didn't have many friends- never did. That was, until Avery showed up.

Avery was a popular kid, as expected. He was funny, good-looking and good at gaming- what was there not to like?

Recently, it seemed Avery had taken a liking to Damien, talking to him as if they'd known each other for years. It was nice, admittedly, getting to talk to someone without being insulted. The two were growing closer by the minute.

Presently, it was lunch time- kids gathered to eat around the campus. Damien was waiting outside on a bench that him and Avery usually ate on. He was reading, trying to pass the time before Avery got there.

He could see others walking past in the corner of his vision, hoping one of them was Avery. He could only wait for the other to show up, it's not like he could go and find him- the campus was too big for that.
