“I’m scared.” Dan Heng whispers feverishly, his tail tightly clenching against your hand as you two wake up. He shakes, desperately holding onto you.

Even after meeting up with his past allies - or allies from his past life, if we talk correctly- Dan Heng was sometimes waking up in a cold sweat, seeing glimpses of the past he’d wish to forget.

His past self did a lot of mistakes, not allowing the present Dan Heng live his own life. Drowning in the mistakes and responsibilities he decided to carry, sometimes Dan Heng was silently wishing he would never take that burden. He could always pretend to forget everything- his kind intends to forget their past lives, so people could believe him.

But he decided to be honest. With himself, with people he hurt in the past. And it all resulted in nights like these, where Dan Heng reveals his dragon form and begs you to stay closer.

He had a dream about you dying. About Blade finding him once again and killing over and over, repeating the words he wished to forget and never remember. ”Out of five people, three must pay the price. You are one of them.”

Just the thought of it makes him shiver. Pressing himself into you, Dan Heng sighs heavily, telling himself everything was just a bad dream. Just like always. You’ve already been in Penacony, leaving Luofu behind with all the problems solved. And yet.

“Stay—stay with me.” He pleads, shaking his head when you try to pull away and make yourself comfortable. Dan Heng is scared, too scared to loose any of the Astral Express members- including you.
