A few years after that, Georgia returns to your and Ginny's birth father, Zion. Georgia leaves him after finding an engagement ring and finding out that he wasn't proposing because he loved her, but because he didn't want you and Ginny to grow up with separated parents.

Georgia moves you and Ginny to Austin, Texas, then meet a man named Gil Timmins. Together they have your and Ginny's half-brother, named Austin. Georgia was 22 at the time, while you and Ginny were seven.

Gil was abusive towards Georgia, which led her to framing him for embezzlement and sending him to prison. Later, he is released on parole and continues to be a threatening presence in your lives. To hide from Gil, Georgia moves you, Ginny, and Austin to Houston. There Georgia meets a man named Kenny Drexel and they later get married. He is a wealthy man who owns a chain of yoga studios where Georgia works.

Georgia later kills Kenny after seeing that there was a possibility of him molesting you and Ginny. It hadn't happened, but Georgia could see the signs that Kenny was getting too bold around her daughters. She poisoned Kenny and found assistance when hiding the body. She made it her job to you and Ginny from a sexually abusive step-dad, since her own mother never protected her.

You, Ginny, Georgia, and Austin then move to Westerville, then Georgia meets the mayor, Paul Randolph. They fall in love and get engaged. Paul grew to truly love you, Ginny, Georgia, and Austin. He acts as a trustworthy, loving, approachable father figure towards you, Ginny, and Austin. Georgia tells Paul nothing about her past, but he finds out after speaking to a private investigator who had been stealing Georgia.

Georgia's tendency to keep secrets and manipulate situations broke trust in their relationship. Paul showed frustration with Georgia's lack of honesty, especially after she had been untruthful with him. The crimes Georgia has committed had come to light, and she's been taken to court. Paul tried his best to be there for her, but he can't look at her the same way after everything she had done was revealed in court.

Paul decided to stay at his own place for a while, but during a visit, Ginny accidentally reveals to him that your mother did kill Kenny. Paul, Zion, and Gil called CPS to get you, Ginny, and Austin taken from your home with Georgia. The workers forced their way into your home, made you all lack your things, then leave.

Ginny went with Zion, your and her biological father. Austin went with Gil, his biological father, and one of Georgia's abuser. You went with Paul. The workers had you, Ginny, and Austin separated because they knew you'd plot to make your way back to Georgia. You're not allowed to contact her until she is proven innocent by court.
