Choose your Roles

• Hoplite (Phalanx Infantry): The backbone of the Spartan army, the Hoplite specializes in shield-based combat, spear thrusts, and coordinated formations. In this role, you’ll form the spearhead of the Spartan defense or assault, using your shield to protect your comrades and your spear to strike from behind the defense.

• Raider (Light Infantry): When a quick strike is needed, you’ll play as a Raider, equipped with javelins and a short sword. Mobility and agility are key here, as you’ll need to navigate around enemy defenses, perform hit-and-run tactics, and exploit weaknesses in the enemy's lines.

• Phalanx Captain: As a Captain, you’ll lead squads of Hoplites into battle, directing formations, issuing orders, and positioning troops for maximum effectiveness. This role is about strategy and command as much as it is about combat, ensuring your men hold strong or strike decisively when needed.

• Siege Warrior (Assault Specialist): In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of sieging enemy fortresses, scaling walls with a grappling hook, and leading the charge into breach points. Your weapon of choice is a heavy axe or a two-handed sword, ideal for breaking through enemy defenses and devastating in close-quarters combat.

• Defender of Sparta: Protect your homeland in a variety of defensive roles. Whether it's guarding the walls of Sparta, repelling invaders from the outskirts, or defending critical locations in the city, your focus is on tactical defense. You'll need to use fortifications, traps, and your shield to hold the line against overwhelming numbers.

• Naval Warrior (Shipboard Combat): While Spartans are known for their land-based prowess, this role would focus on amphibious operations. You'll command or fight aboard Spartan triremes, boarding enemy ships, engaging in naval combat, and leading beach assaults on enemy-controlled islands.
