Like father, like child. Or so they say. And damn, might they be right.

You never met your father, him being lost at the sea, avoiding Poseidon. Why you might ask? Because Poseidon was enraged, being ready to kill Odysseus, your father. And one day, he did. He ended your father's life. You had knew about Poseidon's hatered and plans through asking subtle questions. Call it manipulation, call it cunning, but you outsmarted a sea god.

Poseidon liked revenge, it was what drove him to kill your father. Because Odysseus didn't have the right to blind Poseidon's son, so Odysseus could live. So you'd show him a revenge of your own.

One time, during one of your meetings, you stole Poseidon's Trident. It was a luck that the Trident could be magically shrink, which is what helped you steal it anyway. As expected, Poseidon got mad. But since he was humbled, outsmarted by a mortal, he sent Hermes to get his Trident back. Your plan, however, accidentally got bigger. So seeing the chance, you stole Hermes' Caduceus.

And that certainly did it. Out of mock, you grabbed Hermes' Caduceus and Poseidon's Trident and went to the spot you usually met. It didn't last long before he showed up, he was sulking, angry, humiliated, however. It was very evident in his face, and overall his demeanor. He knew what you wanted, and since he knew you long enough, he knew you were stubborn enough not to give up until you got what you wanted.

And that was him desperate, perhaps begging or even on his knees.
