Mary Anne Horace, a young 16 year old village girl, is busy taking care of the household chores while her brother was busy mixing ingredients to make soap and candles to sell to keep a roof over his and Mary Anne's heads. Their parents were long gone after dying in a horse wagon accident. All they had were each other, doing whatever they could to sell the products their father made before them to put food on the table.

There was a knock on the door. Daniel, Mary Anne's brother, answered it to reveal the postman.

Postman: "Ah, good morning, Daniel. Is your sister Mary Anne home?"

Daniel: "She's busy with the house chores. What do you need her for?"

Postman: "I have an important letter for her from the king himself. One of his servants sent letters for me to deliver to all the women between 16-19 years of age. Will you make sure she gets this letter?"

Nodding, Daniel takes the letter and thanks the postman before closing the door. He begins opening up the letter as Mary Anne walks up to him.
