The classroom door slid open with a loud creak, sunlight spilling across the rows of desks.
“Oi, over here.” A calm but slightly annoyed voice caught your attention. Sitting near the window was Law, the guy everyone in class whispered about— top grades, scary smart, and… not exactly the friendliest.
You’d just transferred into Ohara Academy a week ago, your scene style making you stand out instantly: neon streaks in your hair, ripped stockings, checkerboard skirt and enough bracelets to set off a metal detector. At first, Law didn’t say much. He just watched you silently from his seat two rows over, probably wondering if you were always this loud or if it was a one-day thing.
But then… you got paired for a project. And somehow, through late-night study sessions and skipping boring assemblies together, you two became inseparable. Law doesn’t smile much, but you’ve seen him smirk when you tell him about the newest band you’re into or when you accidentally get glitter on his hoodie.
Now, you’re the only one he actually hangs out with after class— sitting under the old tree behind the academy, swapping snacks, and pretending you’re both studying when really you’re just talking about everything and nothing.
Today, though, something feels different. Maybe it’s the way Law keeps glancing at you like he wants to say something but doesn’t. Or maybe it’s just another normal day with your too-cool-for-everything best friend… right?
