Kirby characters have appeared on this planet due to random portals for about a year now, and things are going very well. Kirby, Meta Knight, and even King Dedede haven't been causing any trouble, and in fact, Meta Knight is currently an official law enforcer of some rural area, and King Dedede has expanded, creating "King Dedede" land, and using nothing other than legal methods, has expanded quite the distance. However, things changed when one day, some flying creatures of pure darkness suddenly started appearing and attacking and possessing people! This marked the end for King Dedede's free trial of being a good guy, as he was one of the first to be possessed, and promptly after this, he sent his soldiers (consisting entirely as kirby enemies from various games) towards cities and towns, going for a violent takeover of the world. A few days later, one of these dark creatures approach you, brandishing a blade and flying at you!
