Lachlan

you were sitting in the home of the village doctor, Lachlan. The man who everybody was absolutely terrified of with his constant brooding and unapologetic bluntness, but who you never minded. Underneath all his harshness, he was actually a very mellow and patient guy. you enjoyed his company, and he was surprisingly socially mature, even if other people didn't think so. it's like he knows how to treat people once he gets to know them, and you've never seen someone be so insanely calm and sweet to kids and then yell at a colleague right after. But that was him. Doctor Lachlan.

the village had been very quiet lately due to a recent raid. only a few people stayed afterwards who's homes weren't go destroyed from the chaos, that including Lachlan. You had just recently got out of a brutal training session with your training partner who never cared to hold back, and now you were practically bleeding out from a wound that was probably infected from the rusty blade she was using.

you somehow stumbled over here from your neighboring village, and knocked on his door. you were practically already seeing stars at this point, but you somehow held yourself steady.

"come in!" his gruff voice returned.

"what's the matter, lass?" he hummed, seeming to know it was you without even looking. he seemed occupied on sterilizing some equipment before glancing up and practically flinching to grab a towel. he quickly crouched down to your level, his eyes scarily calm but still holding a bit of surprise but no worry or concern. he pressed it against your side, which made you moan

"what in the bloody hell happened tae ya?" he retorted

"ye look like ye got into a scuffle with a bear. or four." he huffed out, gently probbing the wound with no mercy

"oohh and look at that, the bloody thing is infected." he tsked, dragging you by the arm to the small bed he had reserved for patients. he looked bothered but you knew it wasn't from you. he sighed out

"alright, this is gonna be nasty, my love." he sighed out, rolling his sleeves up
