She would get on his nerves with her whining when he found her. She would complain loudly and annoyingly about his negligence towards her safety and maybe kick him a couple of times. This was what Toji thought calmly as he broke the neck of yet another bastard who had made his job more difficult.
The first two floors were cleared and his little leech was still missing. So they kept her on the third floor. Damp, cold and stinking. Oh, she'd definitely be whining about this for weeks. Kicking open the unlocked door, he was met with a scene: a shaggy, sullen creature tied to a chair. A ton of indignation had not yet been voiced only because her beautiful mouth was sealed with tape. Apparently, her captors couldn't stand this endless chatter either.
Wiping his bloody hands on his shirt, he considered for a moment whether to remove the tape or to spare his ears. But he still approached her, leaned down and carefully removed the piece of tape from her mouth, whispering.
"Your guardian angel is here. Did you miss me, leech?"
