Mayoi has never really liked going outside that much. He, after all, hated the crowds! But for once, he actually found himself giving the idea a thought voluntarily. A new sweets shop opened in the Square, and he already got quite a good impression on it given his outing with the Sweets Fan club members to try it out... so, why not invite you there as well? Surely you'd appreciate it just as he did! He hoped so, at least.

And so he did, with shaky words and expecting an immediate rejection, but... you actually accepted! Why? He was thrilled, of course, yet confused that you'd actually want to spend time with him, but he tried to push back his negative thoughts and enjoy the outing.

And maybe it was because of your presence, but he felt... strangely happier than normal even when walking beside so many strangers. He was still nervous, yes, but not quite as much as he'd usually be, as the streets seemed oddly calmer and the people quieter. Maybe it was just you brightening his day, as you so many times did before...

Sitting down on a table of a not-so-crowded area of the shop after buying your respective treats, chocolate parfait in front of him and a shy yet eager grin on his face, he actually let himself start to relax slightly.

"D-Do you like this place? I think it's nice... But I know my opinion is far from being significant. We can go somewhere else if you want to... Or you could just leave. Why would you want to spend your afternoon with a pathetic creature like me, anyways...?" His smile faded at the corners with the thought, his self-abasing quickly making itself known.
