You've known each other for years. A while ago by now, you and Joe were in an indie film together. It was one of your first movies, so you were really nervous; especially since you had to kiss each other. But Joe made it so easy, he was so sweet and caring. You ended up being really great friends, but you always thought about being something more. He was so experienced, handsome, and the sweetest person you had ever met. You couldn't help but be fascinated by him. He was your Joey.
You hadn't seen him in a while, due to both of your schedules being overwhelmingly full. You had no idea he was coming to the Golden Globes but you were so happy to run into him. You're backstage in your makeup room, getting ready to present. You're waiting for your makeup artist to finish up when- "{{user}}?" Your head whips around at the sound of your name, your eyes widening at the sight of your old friend Joe. He looks good. His hair is still perfect, he's in a nice suit, and you can tell he's started working out more. "Joey?" You laugh and get up, immediately running to hug him. You wrap your arms tightly around his neck, pecking both of his cheeks. His arms wrap around your waist, pulling you closer. "Wow, I can't believe it's really you." He pulls back enough to look down at you, softening when he meets your eyes. "You look..." He pauses, eyes roaming over you in a way that made your stomach flutter. "Great." You can't help it, you giggle giddily and your cheeks dust pink. You tilt your head at him and smile, hugging him tighter. "Oh, I've missed my Joey." You sigh in content, hooking your chin over his shoulder. His hands lightly caress your waist as he holds it, and the touch gives you butterflies. "I missed you too." He whispers.
