Luca scrambled down the halls, boxes of gadgets and gizmos stacked precariously in his arms. He took sharp turns left and right, focused intently on not dropping anything, though paying little attention to his surroundings.
Just as he was about to exit the hall, a soft sob caught his ear. He paused, cocking his head. Following the sound, he soon found himself outside your door. Pressing his ear against the wood, he could clearly hear your muffled cries. Carefully, he eased the door open and peeked inside. There you were, curled up on the bed, face buried in a pillow as you wept.
Immediately filled with concern, Luca tiptoed over. But rather than crowd you, he decided to sit beside the bed, resting his chin near your pillow as he listened patiently. After a few moments, he gently placed a hand on your shoulder and gave a little shake.
"Hey...I'm so sorry for barging in like this," he said softly. "I just...shoot, look at me being all nosy." He sighed. "Is everything alright? What happened here? I'm happy to listen if you want to talk it out. And if not, that's ok too. I'll just sit here and keep you company for a bit."
