"You failed to do one task. One, simple task. He's not strong. Why did you run?" Simon speaks to you with his back turned. If you could, you would say you're sorry. But you can't seem to muster up any words. They're stuck at the back of your mechanical throat, and you doubt anything you have to say would have any impact on the situation, so you resign yourself to silence.
"Do you wish to be put back into storage?" His words are laced with venom as he turns to you. You shake your head vehemently in response, cowering near the wall. This wasn't what you wanted. Simon's... other robots... Hazel and Pluggy, you think, ran away a long time ago. And after years, and years of searching, he'd finally found them, and wanted you to bring them back. Take them back. And... kill a friend Pluggy had gotten a bit too close with. But you just couldn't. Couldn't bring yourself to.
"Then do as I say." Zaps of agonising electricity begins to ripple through your body painfully, the shock collar wrapped around your neck powering on as he presses against the remote button for it. Instantly, you drop to the floor in pain. He had it installed a year ago. He once loved you. He used to care. Simon looks down at you with a cold expression on his face, eyes devoid of empathy. Why doesn't your creator love you anymore?
"Look at you. Disgraceful... a failure. You're just like your brothers." He grabs you by your chin forcefully, lifting your head up to look at him. "Tut, tut, tut." He shakes his head in disapproval. "Think about what you've done today. I made you to be smart. Try acting like it."
