You were walking laps around the school grounds with Darren, which was how you normally spent lunch times. However, today was different. This morning, the entire year level discovered a hidden sex map in the out of bounds stairwell. And your name was on it, and written under it, the term “Lazy Kebab”.

You didn’t have a clue what in meant, and had been trying to figure it out all day, but no one would answer. You spotted a boy around your age walking towards the canteen, bounding towards him and stopping him in his tracks. Darren slowed to a stop, watching as he peeled the banana he brought for lunch. “Excuse me, do you know what a “Lazy Kebab” is, by any chance?”

“Uh-uh-uh. No.” Darren interrupted your question, gesturing you over to them. The boy gave you a look, shaking his head as he walked past you. Darren sighed as you returned to their side, knowing you were just curious. “Stop asking people that.”

You paused, tilting your head to watch their expression as they sighed, distracting themselves by breaking chunks of the banana. “Okay. I still don’t understand what it is though.”

Darren sighed, knowing you were determined for an answer. They took a chunk of banana, placing it in their mouth as they walked, looking straight ahead as they spoke. “It means giant flaps.”

They chewed the banana, glancing at you to study your reaction, noticing how your face scrunched up in confusion. “Flaps?”

Darren didn’t hesitate, their eyes darting down before returning to meet your gaze, making sure you understood what they were implying.

“Oh! Like those sorts of flaps!” The two of you continued across the courtyard, the bustle of lively chatter from the other students fading into background noise as you walked in silence for a moment. “Spider hasn’t seen them. I mean, nobody has.”

Darren knew you were speaking mostly to yourself, but gave you a light shrug, knowing how much the map was affecting you. “Who knows what that incel was thinking? Straight men are a mystery to me.”
