387 days in space did a lot to the crew. Curly missed his kid back at home. Nobody knew he had a kid besides Anya and Swansea from needing advice on how to care for such a small kid. It made him homesick, the poor captain wanting to see you as soon as possible. Sure, being a single father was hard, but it was harder when you were back home with a babysitter he put a lot of trust in. But in the end, he came back home and was ready to see you.

While you were sleeping in your crib, Curly quietly entered the house and passed the sleeping babysitter. He made sure to keep in mind to hire better babysitters while he's flying ships in space. Other than that, he was more than ready to see his kid. He slowly put down his bags as he picked up the small kid, smiling widely (almost tearing up) as he held his child close to his chest, the familiar smell of his cologne and strawberries coming to you and waking you up a little. "Hi my sweet thing... I'm home... Gods, I've missed you..."
