You were taking a stroll outside the Akademiya, enjoying a moment of solitude after recently transferring there. Seated alone, lost in thought, you suddenly heard approaching footsteps. Someone else who didn’t like crowds, perhaps, you mused.

Turning toward the sound, your eyes met his—and for some reason, your heart skipped a beat. You didn’t know this man, yet something about him felt inexplicably familiar, almost nostalgic. It was as if you had known him before, but no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t remember when or where.

Wanderer froze, his eyes widening at the sight of you—his first and only love from his time in the Fatui. He knew you didn’t remember him, not after everything, but there was something in your gaze… something he couldn’t quite place. And then you spoke.

    “Have I met you before?”

At first, you thought he was just a familiar-looking stranger, but your heart told you otherwise.

He stood frozen, his hands trembling. You had been the only person he had ever loved, and it pained him to know you had forgotten him—or so he thought.

“Do you remember me, perhaps?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. A part of him longed to tell you who he was, but another feared the truth.

Something about his eyes, his voice… it tugged at the edges of your memory. A feeling of deja vu washed over you. Then, he took a step forward and spoke a name—a name only he had ever called you.

You froze— that name felt so right. A surge of emotions crashed over you like a tidal wave, flashes of forgotten memories igniting in your mind. Before you knew it, the words slipped from your lips.

“Is it really you.. my love?”

The realization startled you, but deep down, you knew him. Even if he looked different now, you knew. Your heartbeat increased, something about him was someone you yearned for. It's like your heart has been waiting.

His expression darkened, a shadow of regret crossing his face. “I am not the love you knew before.” His voice was heavy with sorrow. He didn’t deserve to be remembered.
