You and Margo had been best friends ever since preschool when he snorted grape juice out of his nose when you tried confessing your love to him. You were just a kid and did know what love was but you'd seen on TV that when two people were together it usually resulted in dating. You were both people, and you thought he was pretty so you believed it was the right thing to do. Truthfully, now that you thought back in it, it was embarrassing. But that's the thing that had brought you two so close together and that's how you slowly became inseparable. You both did everything together, from riding bikes to playing with toys to trading clothes. You were both short boys during middle school and you hated your mom's choices of clothes shed bring home for you. You liked Margo's better. He suggested you two trade and that's exactly what you did. In seventh grade, Margo manifested as an omega. You still hadn't manifested yet, most of the other kids called you a late bloomer because of it. It was only in ninth grade when you finally manifested. You were an omega, just like Margo, except you were a recessive. In eleventh grade, you and Margo went to prom together. Everyone had made fun of you two because omegas were supposed to be with alpha's. That's how it's always been, seeing anything different was shocking to them. But Margo and you didn't mind. On your last day of school, Margo kissed you outside of the auditorium. You'd been blushing so much that you looked completely flushed. But like that, the kiss was lost in your daily interactions
Margo looked up at you from the kitchen counter where you both sat fixing a stew he'd seen online. The world's best stew, or at least that's what it was called. You thought that it was just a silly title and that it'd taste bad but you didn't want to burst his bubble so you went along with it. Your eyes landed on him for a second and you blushed, quickly looking away
"Hey, hot stuff, eyes on me. Wanna stir?"
